Library Resources

Wisconsin Homeschooling Parents Association is the only state-wide, inclusive, non-partisan, grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the right and freedom of parents to educate their children according to their own principles and beliefs. Since 1984, WHPA has been, and continues to be, the source for accurate information about homeschooling in Wisconsin.

Many homeschooling families rely on public libraries to enhance their homeschools. WHPA has created this digital toolkit to help your library provide accurate, up-to-date information about homeschooling in Wisconsin to your staff and patrons.

We invite and encourage you to offer links on your website to WHPA’s informative resources on this website. WHPA has grown in the last few years, with a clearer name and new Question Answering Committee in place of our former Regional Contacts, all in an effort to better support all Wisconsin homeschoolers. We would be happy to answer any other questions you may have. Simply reach out to us via the contact form.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we encourage you to schedule a WHPA 101 session for your staff. This free 45- to 50-minute session, either via Zoom or in person, will equip attendees with a clear understanding of homeschooling in Wisconsin. You can find all the information on our website.

Thank you again. Libraries are an invaluable treasure in our communities and, for many,  a vital part of homeschooling.

Sincerely,
WHPA Board of Directors
